My background of customer service and education will help me apply for this position. First of all, I would love to be a Resident Assistant. I enjoy working with others, and helping people solve their problems. I know being a RA will help me in many ways. I will be able to make new friends and get to know people better; I will have a higher chance getting into future jobs with this experience, and I will be a leader for other people in need to follow. When I worked at McDonald’s for more than a year I learned how exactly to talk to people. You might think working at McDonald’s would not prepare me for anything in life, but I learned when to be polite and when to be stern when frustrated customers would come to me complaining about their food. I had to deal with many uncomfortable situations which I knew how to deal with perfectly. I manage to stay calm in stressful situations.
